Using a nail gun, like this Craftsman version, is not the only way to nail the trim, but it sure makes it easier!

If you don't have a miter saw, try these miter shears and use PVC molding.  It's an easy option for novices like me!

I don't own (or know how to use!) a miter saw, so I opted for miter shears and PVC molding.  The two worked perfectly together for great corners and a top notch finish!

Straight lines are imperative in this DIY project.  Make sure to have a level that's at least 2 feet to make your lines perfectly level!

The Result

A beautiful  upgrade!
